The restaurant opened for business on October 28, 1978 under the direction and guidance of Mamma and Papa DiMille. The recipes for all the menu items were developed by Mamma DiMille which included the same recipes she had learned from her mother and grandmother, and had been cooking for her family for years.During this time, all three boys were active as cooks, waiters, dishwashers, and handymen. It was also during this time that Papa DiMille taught the boys how to run a business.

It was in early 1981 that Mamma and Papa DiMille decided to step down and turn control of the business over to their sons. Since this time, DiMille's has gone through two major remodels to keep up with the demand of its' customers. The addition of the lounge and patio in 1988 were made to alleviate the long waits by customers as well as offering a new and exciting outdoor dining experience and an ideal facility for large banquets.

Today, the brothers are fully active in all areas of the restaurant, and take pride in every employee trained to their standards of excellence.

This is done according to Mamma DiMille's original recipes handed down in the family from generation to generation. DiMille's has also made a big impact in San Diego with its catering service. DiMille's offers a wide variety of foods and services for homes, offices, weddings and banquets. Our foods vary for each event, ranging from trays of pasta specialties, antipasto platters, chicken dinners, six foot sandwiches too, and of course, our famous pizza. No matter what the occasion, DiMille's has the right food and the best of service to make it a huge success.

We are located at 3492 Adams Ave at the corner of 35th Street in the Normal Heights/Kensington area. Our parking lot is located directly west of the restaurant for added convenience. Reservations are accepted; indoor and patio available. please call us for directions.
