Not a huge pizza fan, but this place is pretty good.

i have had this pizza 2 times a week for the last year. i won't eat pizza @ any other place.it gets real busy for lunch so go early.this pizza is good by the slice or delivered,in fact it's the best pizza i'v ever had delivered.someone should organize a pizza contest, city pizza vs bronx pizza kuz i think city would win.

NOT New York Style, and NOT recommended

Posted by Spikeygrrl on 3/9/2009

This is NOT "New York style pizza" by this adoptive New Yorker's definition, and not "one of the best in town" (as reviewed elsewhere here) by ANY true foodie's definition. The "crisp" crust was oversauced and soggy, the toppings franchise-average, the seasoning pedestrian. I'd prefer franchise fare over this any day, especially since City Pizzeria's prices exceed typical franchise prices by about 15%(?!). The only good thing I have to say about this experience is that the delivery was quick (as it should be, at only 1/4 mile from my East Village high-rise). Resident East Villagers and visitors, if you want REAL New York style stick with Pizza Station on Park between Broadway & C (in the SmartCorner complex, with entrances both directly on Park and via the City College station Trolley platform) despite its narrow menu and relatively restricted hours of operation. I know, I know...great pizza in a convenience store??? But improbable as it sounds, Pizza Station is the real thing: inexpensive, fast, consistently good-quality ingredients, as close to authentic New York style as I've yet found here on the Left Coast. And who knows what might happen if enough of us NY-pizza lovers beg Pizza Station to stay open later...

YUK YUK YUK!

Posted by immavericky on 10/23/2008

Don't even think about eating the hot wings they serve here. They taste like they've been boiled with the skin on and then a rather watered down hot sauce is put on them and possibly stuck in a microwave. Limp and soggy. YUK! Certainly not worth the almost $8 price. If you can get the pizza in your mouth right out of the oven, it's okay. Walk a block and then eat your lunch, it generally taste undercooked, underspiced and cold.

Always Quality

Posted by rain_kitty on 5/12/2008

The quality of the food was fantastic every time I ordered. The pizza and ingredients were always fresh. They always brought what I asked for, which is rare for a pizza delivery service. I wish I still lived nearby to get their pizza!
