Villa Montezuma was built in the Queen Anne style by acclaimed author and musician Jesse Shepard in 1887. This historical site is located in San Diego's Sherman Heights neighborhood. This residence-turned-museum serves as a symbol for Southern California's economic boom of the late 19th century and is considered one of the most famous haunted houses in America.
