Five permanent and two temporary exhibit galleries at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center offer more than 100 different hands-on ways for children and adults to explore the scientific principles that are a part of everyday life. From creating unique designs using a pendulum and sand to exploring light and sound through lasers and musical instruments, the museum offers a variety of entertaining activities sure to meet the interests of any visitor. In addition to its exhibit galleries, the museum offers a thrilling motion simulator ride, fascinating planetarium shows and always-popular films in its IMAX theater. Located beside the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park, other nearby family attractions include the San Diego Zoo and outdoor recreational activities.
